With an MA in Ethics from the University of Quebec in Rimouski, Ms Magalie Jutras is responsible for the National School of Public Administration (ENAP)‘s project management division. She is responsible, among other things, for the training activities and consulting services in ethics. She also acts as a consultant in organizational ethics for many departments and agencies for both the Quebec and the federal government. From 2000 to 2009, she contributed to various activities at the Laboratory of Public Ethics at ENAP. These collaborations allowed her to conduct many studies in applied ethics and in government ethics. In addition to publishing several articles, book chapters and research notes, Ms. Jutras co-wrote the “Guide d’éthique organisationnelle” (Treasury Board Secretariat, 2004) with Ms Allison Marchildon and the “Petit manuel d’éthique appliquée à la gestion publique” (Liber, 2003) with Mr Yves Boisvert, Mr George A. Legault and Ms Allison Marchildon. Ms Jutras is a long-time collaborator of the Quebec Division of the Ethics Practicionner Association of Canada, acting as a member of the annual conference programming committee, as a research officer as well as a speaker (2006, 2007 and 2010). | |

Joé T. Martineau is project director, coordinator and researcher for the Chair in Ethical Management at HEC Montreal, and lecturer in business,Ethics and corporate governance for the same university. She is also a consultant, working with public and private organizations, assisting them in their process of ethical reflection. She is currently writing a book on business ethics and also co-wrote several articles on the same subject. Joé T.Martineau holds a Masters in international business and politics of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP Sciences Po Paris), and a Master in Management (business ethics and crisis management) from HEC Montreal. She is currently completing a doctorate in administration at HEC Montreal where she specializes in strategy and business ethics, her dissertation focuses on the different business ethics practices implemented in organizations. | |

Michelle Girard

| Michelle Girard holds a licence in law from the University of Laval. She finished her second cycle of a diploma in applied ethics at the University of Sherbrooke. Her professional interest is soon to be oriented towards working relations and organizational development in the Québec Public Service. Over the years, ethics and a professional code of conduct are considered to be of high importance and Madame Girard is keen to establish their position. She has been interested in ethics for over 15 years and was responsible for this in a large Quebec Ministry for seven years to 2010 when she retired from the Public Service and oriented her career towards being a counsellor in applied ethics. | ||

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and two Masters (Demography and Management), Virginie has for 15 years provided quality support as an administrative and financial manager to a variety of organizations in France, Quebec – Canada, and several countries in Africa. She decided to develop another side of her professional life by teaching and undertaking research in business ethics. Amongst a multitude of ethical concepts, she specialised in questioning the ethics of managers, thinking that this was one of the most complex issues in the resolution of management problems. This professional orientation has led to a combined Doctorate in Administration from both HEC Montreal and IAE Pantheon-Sorbonne Paris. Her research focused on the training of managers in ethical questioning. Through her teaching in Quebec – Canada and France (Courses in organizational ethics, Ethics and decision making, and, Discernment in professional situations) she has further increased her awareness. Virginie serves on several boards. |

Marie-Claude Boudreau has been providing consulting and training services in applied ethics (mainly on dialogue and decision making) to the federal and provincial public sector, as well as the community sector. Mme Boudreau is also a trainer and facilitator at L’école nationale d’administration publique (ENAP), where she provides training in ethics for managers. She is a sessionnal lecturer in applied ethics at Université de Sherbrooke, where she is also a member of the community of practices of the Chaire d’éthique appliquée. She has been a volunteer in organizing and delivering the annual conference of the Ethics practitionners association of Canada (EPAC- region of Quebec, now RÉOQ) from 2008 to 2012. Marie-Claude holds a master’s degree in applied ethics, for which she received a SSHRC scholarship (Social science and humanities research council of Canada) and is graduated from University of Ottawa in management. Mme Boudreau recently received a FQRSC scholarship (Fonds québécois pour la recherche société et culture) for her Ph.D studies. Her research interests,focus on ethics intervention in public organizations and more particularly on creating effective ethics trainings. | |

Jennifer Centeno holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations and a master’s degree in Public Communication (specialized in organizational communication) from Laval University. Having had the opportunity to work in human resources and in organizational development, in Quebec as well as abroad, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial Relations. Her research interests include the role of ethics within human resources and corporate social responsibility. Jennifer is a lecturer within Laval University’s Department of Industrial Relations and a research auxiliary for the Applied Ethics Institute (IDÉA) of the same school. She sits on the Quebec Organizational Ethics Network (RÉOQ) board of directors. | |

Richard Morris is currently the Ombudsman at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), a Federal Crown Corporation whose mission is to help promote and grow Canadian SMEs. Richard graduated with a BA in Business Studies and became a Chartered Accountant in England where he worked for a major accounting firm. In 1978, he came to Montreal and learned to speak French and became a Canadian citizen. In 2009, he completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Director Education Program. Working for thirty years for BDC, he became the Corporate Controller and then the Chief Audit Executive. Richard retired from BDC in 2009 and accepted the position of Ombudsman on a part-time basis. He is also Member of the Board and Treasurer for the Fédération québécoise des sociétés Alzheimer (FQSA), Member of the Board, Vice-President and Secretary of the Ethics Practitioners of Canada (EPAC) and Member of Scouts Canada Quebec Council and Scouts Canada. | |

Head trainer and ethics counsellor, researcher and lecturer at National School of Public Administration (ENAP), Hugo Roy holds a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in political science from UQAM and a post-graduate degree in public administration from ENAP. Known for his passion, leadership and talent as an orator, Hugo Roy has become a proactive player in the media as well as in the public and parapublic organizations on public ethics and analysis of political scandals. Thus, for over 10 years, he has given lectures and trained members of various departments and agencies on issues of organizational ethics, mostly public managers, including non-commissioned officers from the SQ. He has trained over 4000 people in ethics at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. Hugo Roy has also provided training on ethical issues with public-private partnerships and on how to analyze political scandals involving municipalities, the province of Quebec, Canada, the United States and OECD countries. He also taught in France, Vietnam and Haiti in anti-corruption programs. Finally, he also worked as assistant editor of the Public Ethics journal for 10 years and taught the graduate class on public administration ethics. | |

Diane Girard provides consulting and training services in ethics and values clarification to organizations from the public and private sectors. She also teaches business and organizational ethics, and ethics in management as a lecturer at McGill University and Université Laval. From 1998 to 2011, before founding the Quebec Organizational Ethics Network, Diane was the Ethics Practitioners Association of Canada’s (EPAC/APEC) regional coordinator for the Quebec region. She organized the annual APEC Québec conferences during that time, with the help of volunteers. She was also a member of EPAC’s board of directors for a few years. Ms. Girard holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.), a Law Degree (L.L.L.), a Masters Degree in Law (L.L.M.) and a Post-Graduate Degree in Applied Ethics. She is presently completing a PhD on the topic of “Concern for others in middle managers decision making”. She has published several articles and book chapters, namely on organizational ethics, ethics and organizational culture, and conflicts of values and suffering at work. | |
